DRURY BRENNAN
CONTEMPORARY CALLIGRAPHY ARTIST AND CERAMICIST
This site was created as a final project for an Art History class at Kalamazoo College - Art Since 1945, taught by Dr. Christine Hann, Fall 2014
WINDOWS OF GLASHAUS BADESCHIFF
Brennan created this installation over the course of two days for a street art exhibition in Berlin called Contact. The piece consists of 120 unique panels on 4 meter tall windows. The Glashaus Badeschiff is a night club which Brennan saw as an opportunity to challenge his viewers by using phrases that people at a night club might not want to hear or that might make them uncomfortable – “you never know things got so bad”, “little too wild” and “you’ll be alright”. The piece was so well received that the owners of the club decided to leave it up and it is still there today in 2014.
